The APREH project brings Miroka into several APREH care settings, starting with a first deployment already in operation at Foyer La Marcelline. The project aims to deploy 11 Mirokaï robots across the association’s facilities, serving different audiences including older adults, adults with disabilities, and children with disabilities. Miroka supports daily activities, social engagement, and emotional well-being through interactive experiences and reassuring interactions. The goal is to strengthen autonomy, well-being, and social connection while complementing, not replacing, care professionals.
Multi-site deployment across diverse audiences
The APREH project is a collaboration to deploy 11 Mirokaï robots across multiple types of APREH facilities, reaching different populations: older adults in independent living residences, adults with disabilities in supported living homes, and children with disabilities through specialized child support services. A first Miroka is already operating at Foyer La Marcelline, where it takes part in residents’ daily activities and social life. This multi-setting approach allows APREH to explore how an empathetic and interactive humanoid robot can adapt to diverse needs, contexts, and daily routines.
Daily support, activities & social connection
At Foyer La Marcelline, Miroka already supports residents through interactive activities, social engagement, and moments of shared discovery. The robot helps animate cultural, recreational, and cognitive activities, encourages participation in group interactions, and contributes to reducing isolation. Designed to enhance dignity, autonomy, and well-being, Miroka also provides care professionals with an additional tool for resident engagement and animation. Its role is always to complement human care and support, never to replace it.
