THE PROJECT

Enchanted Tools partnered with Lyon–Saint Exupéry Airport to run a live experiment with Miroki, our social concierge robot. Deployed in Terminal 1 and later in the duty-free area, Miroki supported passengers with wayfinding, flight information, and guidance on services, shops and restaurants.

Feedback showed strong approval, with high perceived usefulness and positive emotional reactions. In a fast-paced environment, Miroki proved it can reduce friction while making the journey more enjoyable.

Week 1 — Terminal 1: passenger guidance before security

During the first week, Miroki was deployed in Terminal 1, assisting travelers before security with orientation, flight information and airport services. Early feedback was very positive: out of 138 mentions,

  • 87 said the robot was useful
  • 60% expressed a positive emotional reaction—confirming Miroki’s ability to improve passenger flow and experience.

Week 2 — Duty-free: high approval in a busy environment

In the duty-free area, Miroki continued to support travelers with guidance on shops, restaurants, and wayfinding. Among 120 passengers interviewed :

  • the robot received a 4/5 usefulness rating, with 90% approval for its key missions.
  • Passengers found it not only helpful, but also engaging and enjoyable to interact with.
